Travel RN – Med Surg / Cardiology (2 West)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Med Surg/Cardiology unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Care for pre- and post-heart catheterization patients, as well as general cardiology patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, and related conditions
• Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Operate standard acute care equipment in alignment with unit protocols and facility standards
• Float to like units and comparable facilities within the designated service area as needed, serving as first to float

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification (AHA)
• Experience in Medical Surgical nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiology nursing experience, including care of cardiac and general cardiology patient populations
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Strong acute care clinical skills
