Phlebotomist - Per Diem - In-Patient

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist‑Hospitals to join our team in Melrose, MA Work Schedule: This position will be as needed - 1st shift. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Conduct administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or six or more months of experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience as an in‑patient phlebotomist. Prior LabCorp experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency in lieu of work experience. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Reliable transportation. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Pay Range $22.00 – $32.00 per hour. Benefits: Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible to participate only in the 401(k) plan.
