Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Overview Focus Staff is hiring a traveling Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13‑week temporary assignment in Wailuku, HI. Location & Schedule Wailuku, HI; 5 day / 8 hour shift. Job Type Contract/Travel; temporary assignment. Responsibilities Independently perform all phases of diagnostic nuclear medicine, using technical knowledge and good judgment to provide safe and effective examinations. Acquire and process patient studies. Set up and organize reading for physicians. Maintain accurate and complete daily records. Demonstrate professionalism, including personal performance evaluation and opportunities for growth. Show customer service skills with internal and external customers. Follow hospital/department policies and procedures. Engage in performance improvement activities at the departmental level. Identify opportunities for departmental efficiency and waste reduction. Demonstrate teamwork and communication with all co‑workers and external stakeholders. Qualifications Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine. Current AHA Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers. BSN from an accredited nursing program. Proper licensure for practicing as a nuclear medicine technologist. Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families. Strong attention to detail, compassion, and ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
