How you’ll make an impact in this role Prepared surgical suites for Labor and Delivery procedures (e.g., C-sections) by meticulously arranging sterile drapes, solutions, and specialized instruments, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic techniques. Facilitated safe and efficient surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of the obstetric team, handing required instruments to the surgeon, and maintaining organized setups. Assisted in seamless preparation, transport, positioning, and draping of patients, prioritizing patient comfort, safety, and privacy in a high-stakes environment. Maintained real-time counts and tracking of all instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout complex procedures to prevent retained surgical items and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Partnered with the multidisciplinary L&D team to streamline surgical workflows, contributing to reduced turnaround times and the delivery of high-quality emergency and scheduled obstetric care. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the following required: Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
