Order Picker

Order PickerOur client, food manufacturing and distribution operations is seeking a Order Picker to join their team. As a Order Picker, you will be part of the DSD Warehouse team supporting efficient, accurate product movement throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, the ability to meet productivity goals, and a commitment to following standard operating procedures which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Bellingham, MAPay Range: $17.60Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00pm-10:30pmWhat's the Job?Transport materials and items from the picking area to other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on pallets and/or bakery dollies according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Load and unload bread trays from trucks.Pick, stack, label, and distribute products within the warehouse while following standard operation procedures and meeting productivity goals.Use RF scanning and voice picking equipment for directed order picking, if applicable, and maintain clean, safe work areas in line with safety, food safety, and hygiene guidelines.What's Needed?High School diploma or GED equivalent; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to follow standard operating procedures and consistently meet productivity goals.Comfort working in a warehouse environment while adhering to safety, food safety, and hygiene requirements.Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with safe lifting/carrying practices.May be certified to drive a riding pallet jackWhat's in it for me?Work with technology-enabled picking tools such as RF scanning and voice picking equipment, if applicable.Be part of a team that supports Continuous Improvement initiatives including 5SContribute to accurate labeling and distribution by marking and labeling materials with identifying information.Maintain a clean and organized workspace by keeping aisles/exits clear and removing trash from the work area floor.Develop reliability and operational discipline by reporting injuries/property damage and defective equipment to supervision.Upon completion of waiting period associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
