About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mids (includes a combination of all three shifts: 10am-10pm, 12pm-12am, 3pm-3am) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department preferred License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have: Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Description: We are seeking a skilled RN in Emergency Medicine. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The facility is a level III trauma center with 198 beds. The unit features a variety of services including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. This role includes team nursing and a pod system. There will be a social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator available. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include ESRD, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, COPD, CHF, abdominal pain, and chest pain. The emergency department has a patient bed count of 48 with flex space. Staffing ratios are 4:1 in the main ED and 6:1 in the fast track area. Key equipment includes Zoll defibrillators, blood transfusion devices, and point-of-care testing devices. The electronic health record system in use is Cerner. This position offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a focus on trauma and emergency care.
