Registered Nurse (RN) - SurgeryWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a fast-paced surgical services team in Beckley, West Virginia. This full-time day-shift opportunity supports both inpatient and outpatient surgical cases across a broad range of specialties.The RN will work collaboratively with surgeons, surgical technologists, anesthesia providers, and other clinical professionals to provide safe, effective, and patient-centered perioperative care.Surgical ServicesThe surgical team supports a diverse case mix, including:Orthopedics and orthopedic traumaSports medicineGeneral surgeryGynecologyVascular surgeryPodiatrySpine proceduresRobotic-assisted surgeryTraumaUrologyInpatient and outpatient proceduresKey ResponsibilitiesComplete comprehensive patient assessments and identify clinical care needs.Initiate appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings and changes in patient condition.Deliver nursing care appropriate to each patient's age, condition, and surgical needs.Coordinate care with surgeons and other members of the interdisciplinary clinical team.Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized patient care plans.Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation.Support patient safety and established perioperative standards throughout the surgical experience.Function effectively within a high-volume, multidisciplinary operating room environment.Required QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in West Virginia.Minimum of 1 year of surgery/operating room nursing experience.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.Preferred QualificationsALSLS certification.Key Skills RequiredPerioperative and operating room nursingSurgical patient assessment and monitoringInterdisciplinary care coordinationClinical documentation and care planningPatient safety and infection-control practicesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environmentWhy This Location?Beckley offers access to the outdoor recreation for which southern West Virginia is known, including hiking, rafting, climbing, and other activities in the Appalachian region.
