Job Description We are committed to helping you transition into our organization. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available. Scheduling & Shift Details Full-time, day shift (6:00 am - 6:30 pm). Weekend rotation varies from every other weekend to every third weekend. Self-scheduling is offered. About the Unit Residential Living Center at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City. 47-bed unit staffed with two RNs per shift, six CNAs, a bath aide, activities director, restoration aide, and social worker. Scope of Practice Identify and document resident/family learning needs and provide education based on assessment in collaboration and coordination with resident, family and interdisciplinary team members. Coordinate or delegate discharge activities: complete or validate transfer/discharge documents, instructions related to medications, activity, wound care and follow-up appointments. Document resident/family response to education. Maintain working knowledge of CMS regulations so that documentation supports and reflects compliance. Maintain working knowledge of Medicare skilled and MDS criteria so that documentation supports the need for care as well as reflects resident status. Incorporate resident needs and preferences into organized, efficient delivery of care by a team; assign daily cares and delegate tasks appropriately. Supervise, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of assigned CNAs. Demonstrate knowledge and technical competence in preparation and administration of medications and IVs per scope of practice and hospital policy. Document nursing interventions, resident's response to care, and resident outcomes. Set priorities for and review daily plan of care, in collaboration with resident/family/significant other and other healthcare disciplines. Communicate with physician to ensure coordination of medical and nursing plan of care. Communicate compassionately and effectively. Reads and interprets information, labels, and assess patient needs; operates monitors and identifies equipment and supplies. Interacts verbally and listens to patients, providers, and visitors for quick and accurate communication, especially during emergencies. Uses manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment with precision and accuracy; frequent computer use and typing for documentation and medication preparation. Lifts and transfers patients; handles items of varying weights, including heavy items; bends, lifts, and carries supplies and equipment. Walks and assists with transporting/ambulating patients; pushes and pulls gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items; may navigate crowded rooms with equipment. May stand in a stationary position for extended periods. Qualifications ASN from an accredited program BSN from an accredited program preferred Current Montana RN license Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association Location & Compensation Location: Holy Rosary Hospital, Miles City, Montana.
