Job Description Summary The Department of Public Health Sciences at The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a full-time Program Assistant to work on research projects focused on family caregivers of cancer patients. Job Duties: Participate in patient screening, recruitment, and enrollment activities according to protocol procedures. Provides routine updates on status of research activities in team meetings. (25%) Support project operations through administrative tasks such as meeting coordination, team scheduling, and managing internal and external communication. (25%) Perform data collection, data entry and data management activities. (20%) Support development, refinement and updating of project tools (e.g., intervention materials, resources for caregivers) (10%). Participate with team to implement study intervention activities (i.e., coordination of trainings, technical support, and facilitation) at each site. (10%) Supports team in adhering to regulatory requirements with preparation of reports and detailed electronic record keeping. (5%) Perform literature reviews and assist with grant-writing and manuscript development tasks. (5%) MUSC Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: A high school diploma and two years of relevant program experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required program experience. General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs. Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately. Effective oral and written communication skills.
