This position is responsible for reconciling daily financial transactions, auditing guest accounts, and preparing accurate reports that support management decisions. The Night Auditor acts as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that arise. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Ultimately, the Night Auditor helps maintain the integrity of the hotel's financial records while contributing to a positive guest experience. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reconciliation. Experience with hotel property management systems or similar software. Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to work overnight shifts independently. Strong hospitality and customer-service skills. Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or higher in hospitality management, accounting, or related field. Previous experience as a night auditor or in a similar hospitality role. Proficiency with advanced accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively. Responsibilities: Perform nightly audit of all hotel financial transactions, including room charges, payments, and adjustments. Reconcile daily revenue and prepare detailed audit reports for management review. Verify accuracy of guest accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly. Provide front desk support by checking in and checking out guests during overnight hours. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and efficiency. Monitor hotel security and safety protocols throughout the night shift. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and communication. Partiipate in ongoing learning, education and on the job training. Skills: The Night Auditor utilizes strong analytical and numerical skills daily to accurately reconcile financial transactions and identify discrepancies. Attention to detail is essential when auditing accounts and preparing reports to ensure data integrity. Effective communication skills are used to interact with guests and coordinate with other hotel departments, ensuring a seamless overnight operation. Proficiency with property management systems and accounting software enables efficient processing of transactions and report generation.
