This Supervisor role oversees receiving and shipping of servers in a data center warehouse environment, ensuring accurate inventory control, order picking and packing, and high-quality handling of electronic components. The position combines hands-on warehouse and data center floor work with team leadership, task delegation, and effective communication to ensure all operational goals are met safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily receiving and shipping operations for servers and related electronic components in a data center warehouse environment.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers safely and efficiently.
- Place server racks on the data center floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy.
- Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks by following provided diagrams and schematics.
- Install rack hardware using various hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools in accordance with technical requirements.
- Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, verifying accurate part numbers, quantities, and ensuring all material is in pristine condition.
- Execute daily inventory cycle counts and process replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site at the data center.
- Process return shipments of electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems and required documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks in a safe and controlled manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area by performing regular cleanup activities and adhering to 5S standards.
- Frequently push, pull, and lift materials and equipment throughout the workday in line with safety guidelines.
- Use computer applications, including Excel and Word, to support inventory tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Lead and coordinate a crew to execute daily tasks, delegate work effectively, and ensure adherence to priorities and deadlines.
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders to align on goals, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.
- Promote and enforce safety practices and attention to detail in all warehouse and data center floor activities.
Essential Skills
- Experience in warehouse inventory operations and production or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to receive, ship, pick, and pack orders of servers and electronic components with high accuracy.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications, including Excel and Word, for inventory and documentation purposes.
- Capability to read and follow diagrams and schematics for installing electronic components and cabling into server racks.
- Skill in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring tools for rack and hardware installation.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in all tasks.
- Reliable transportation to support consistent attendance on the assigned shift.
- Ability to work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with overtime as needed based on workload.
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday.
- Leadership skills to delegate tasks, lead a crew, and communicate effectively to execute daily operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience leading project teams or acting in a lead or supervisory capacity in a warehouse, production, or data center environment.
- Familiarity with multiple warehouse management systems for processing shipments and returns.
- OSHA 10 certification or knowledge of OSHA safety practices.
- Comfort working with laser measuring devices for precise equipment placement.
- Computer literacy beyond the basics is beneficial, though candidates do not need to be highly advanced users.
- Interest in long-term career growth within a stable operational environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a clean, organized warehouse environment that supports data center operations, including work on the data center floor installing and handling server racks and electronic components. The position follows an overnight shift schedule, working Sunday through Tuesday and every other Saturday from approximately 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., with overtime required when workloads increase. The work involves frequent physical activity, including pushing, pulling, and lifting, and regular use of material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks, as well as hand tools, power tools, and laser measuring devices. The setting emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards, with a professional, operations-focused atmosphere and appropriate attire for a warehouse and data center environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
