Location: Lubbock, TX
Type: Contract
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM | On-Call Required (Nights, Weekends & Holidays)
Pay Rate: $48.00 - $55.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have extensive Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery experience and demonstrate exceptional technical skills in the operating room.
Responsibilities
Prepare the cardiovascular operating room with sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons during cardiothoracic and vascular surgeries by anticipating procedural needs and passing instruments.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
Perform instrument counts before, during, and after procedures according to hospital policy.
Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment used during cardiovascular procedures.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care throughout the surgical process.
Participate in on-call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 consecutive years of Cardiovascular (CVOR) Surgical Technologist experience.
Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery experience required.
Current NBSTSA or NCCT Surgical Technologist certification.
Previous travel assignment experience required.
Ability to take on-call for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
$58 - $62 per hour
