Registered Nurse

The position requires a Registered Nurse in a high acuity cardiac intensive care unit. Experience in ventilator management, arterial line management, and pulmonary artery catheter management is essential. The nurse will manage patients using pacemakers, impellas, balloon pumps, and LVADs. The role involves treating conditions such as acute heart failure, fluid overload, complete heart block, and cardiogenic shock. Skills in managing vasoactive drips, central lines, and dialysis are necessary. The nurse will also be responsible for monitoring hemodynamic parameters and providing care for post-cardiac surgery patients. A strong ability to interpret dysrhythmias and perform 12 lead EKG/ECG is important. Candidates should be able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care. Floating within the service line may be required to meet facility needs. This position offers an opportunity to work in a Magnet and teaching hospital environment. In this role, the nurse will be part of a team that supports patient recovery through critical care practices and advanced treatment protocols. Participation in continuing education and compliance training is expected.
