Essential Job Functions: Complete door to door deliveries by driving company truck on assigned route. Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list. Confirm accurate item delivery with customer and obtain customer signature on Sales Order. Receive customer payments at time of delivery, ensuring the correct amounts received. Stack and organize warehouse pallets. Document and complete driver logs accurately documenting returns and customer notes when making deliveries. Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and inventory. Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service. Maintain and safely navigate the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy while maintaining quick reaction times on the road. Participate in the department meetings. Adhere to Company attendance policies and designated work schedule to keep consistent and reliable attendance. Attend Company events and functions outside of normal working hours. Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on the weekend. Other duties as required by manager. Obligation to answer all management as requested. Physical Requirements: Able to operate forklift for a majority of the daily working hours. Able to walk or stand for a majority of the daily working hours. Ability to talk, hear, climb, balance, reach, bend, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to handle and move up to 165 pounds assisted frequently. Specific vision abilities are required, including close and distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and maintain clarity. Working Conditions. Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the warehouse Location: Indoor in the warehouse or at customer sites (restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc) with travel required. Cold temperatures while working in warehouse and freezer Other Requirements: Basic level English - Read/write/speak/listen. Maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed. CDL class A or B license with manual transmission, or able to obtain it within four months from the hiring date. Be able to stay away from home, potentially for several days or weeks at a time. Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transport industry. Complying with truck driving rules and regulations Maintain a positive attitude. Able to work independently and as a team. Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload. High School diploma or equivalent work experience preferred. 2+ years of driver, delivery, and/or warehousing experience preferred. Experience in food industry, preferably in Japanese food industry is plus. Experience in Japanese restaurant business is a plus. Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc. Strong customer service and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors strongly preferred. Trusted and capable long-distance driver. Defensive driving skill. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and skills. Demonstrate awareness of proper warehouse safety procedures.
