Cardiac Anesthesiologist

St. Mary's General Hospital, a 293-bed acute care facility and member of Prime Healthcare System, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team in Passaic, NJ. The position involves cardiac and general cases within an MD-only model, supported by an Anesthesiology Residency Program.

• MD only model with Anesthesiology Residency Program.
• Case assignments include cardiac cases with a mix of general cases.
• No pediatrics, no trauma cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department.
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures.
• Pre-anesthesia assessment.
• Obtains and/or verifies patient consent.
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition.
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed.

Compensation

• Salary: $575,000
• Sign on Incentives: Up to $100,000

• $25,000 cardiac stipend
• $100,000/3 yr SOB

• M-F w/low utilization of call requirement

Requirements

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• ECFMG and FLEX.
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia.
• Completion of approved Cardiac Fellowship.
• Currently licensed as a physician.
