You'll work directly with engineering and R&D teams to test, evaluate, troubleshoot, and improve next-generation technology designed to make histology workflows more consistent, efficient, and You'll DoPerform hands-on histology procedures including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, sectioning, staining, and slide preparationPrepare, handle, and evaluate tissue specimens while maintaining high standards for quality and consistencyExamine tissue sections and slides to identify quality issues and determine whether specimens are suitable for downstream analysisOperate and evaluate automated tissue sectioning and laboratory equipmentParticipate in product testing, validation, and development activitiesTroubleshoot issues involving tissue preparation, section quality, equipment performance, and laboratory workflowsWork closely with engineers and R&D professionals to identify problems and develop practical solutionsProvide hands-on feedback about how new technology performs in real-world histology workflowsDocument test results, observations, procedures, and findings accuratelyAssist with developing and improving laboratory procedures, work instructions, and SOPsHelp evaluate new product features and workflow improvementsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environmentMaintain laboratory supplies, materials, and equipmentFollow applicable laboratory safety, quality, and documentation requirementsCollaborate with a multidisciplinary team across laboratory operations, engineering, R&D, and product developmentTake on additional laboratory and product-development projects as neededWhat We're Looking For2+ years of hands-on histology laboratory experience preferredAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field preferredHT or HTL certification preferredStrong experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, sectioning, staining, and slide preparationStrong understanding of what makes a high-quality histology section and slideAbility to recognize and troubleshoot common histology and tissue-quality issuesComfortable learning and working with laboratory equipment and emerging technologiesStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality workExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to follow established procedures while also looking for ways to improve themStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with engineers, scientists, and other cross-functional team membersStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environmentNice-to-Have ExperienceExperience with
