Patent Agent or Attorney - Chemistry

Job Summary Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP seeks a Patent Agent or Attorney with a minimum of three years of patent prosecution experience to join our Intellectual Property and Technology practice. Candidates across the US with an undergraduate degree and an advanced degree in chemistry or a related field will be considered. Responsibilities Drafting, filing, and prosecuting U.S. patent applications. Managing and coordinating international patent application strategies. Preparing patentability, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions. Providing overall intellectual property counseling. Qualifications Admitted to the Bar in the jurisdiction where applying and in good standing. Registered and in good standing to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Undergraduate degree; preference for an advanced degree in chemistry or a related field. Minimum of three years experience practicing patent law. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex matters. Demonstrated experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills and sound judgment. Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and work well under pressure. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $190,000 to $240,000 per year, depending on skills and experience. Benefits include health, dental, life, 401(k), and a comprehensive benefits package.
