Leasing Assistant

Now hiring for a Leasing Assistant Location: North Charleston, SC Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Business, Property Management, Marketing, or a related field is a plus. Ability to learn leasing software, CRM platforms, and property management systems. Experience Requirements Minimum 2 years of multifamily leasing experience preferred. Experience in apartment leasing, property management, customer service, sales, or hospitality environments. Experience processing applications, lease agreements, and resident documentation preferred. Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and leasing compliance standards. Preferred Qualifications Strong sales and closing skills with a proven ability to convert leads into leases. Excellent customer service and relationship‑building abilities. Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and general office technology. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Professional phone etiquette and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Physical Capabilities Ability to walk apartment communities and conduct property tours. Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the property during the workday. Ability to perform computer‑based administrative tasks and maintain leasing records. Ability to work occasional weekends and flexible hours as needed. Job Duties Conduct apartment tours and showcase community amenities to prospective residents. Manage leasing leads, follow up with prospects, and maintain accurate CRM records. Process rental applications, lease agreements, renewals, and required documentation. Maintain knowledge of market trends, occupancy levels, and competitor pricing. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and company policies. Respond to resident inquiries and provide outstanding customer service. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure apartments are ready for move‑in. Support occupancy goals through effective leasing, resident retention, and relationship management.
