Step into a rewarding position as a Special Education Teacher and empower students in a contract role running from ASAP through May 21, 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity with 37.5 hours weekly, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in self-contained classroom settings. You'll work with manageable caseloads, each with 35 or fewer students, ensuring that you have the time and resources to make a real impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working in K-12 educational environments is highly desirable
• Ability to manage and engage students with varying exceptionalities
• Strong collaboration skills for working with staff, families, and service providers
• Organizational skills to handle documentation and IEP requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction to meet the unique needs of each student within a self-contained classroom
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic and personal growth
• Track student progress, adapt teaching strategies, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to stay current with best practices in special education
