Recreation Specialist
As a Recreation Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
- Plan and administer a comprehensive sports program for the USDB, JRCF and Trusty Unit.
- Adapt various activities to the wide range of inmate interests, needs and limitations.
- Ensure the sports program complies with the American Correctional Associate (ACA) standards and with all applicable correctional standards for safety and security.
- Monitor recreation areas and ensure tools, etc. are accounted for and to ensure proper security and safety of inmate
- Provide training on the proper use of equipment and safety techniques as it relates to the various sports activities.
- Coordinate all activities and schedules to ensure compliance with security requirements and adequate correctional staff support.
