Full-Time High School Security Officer – Berks County Berks County Area | Monday–Friday | 7:15 AM–3:45 PM | Full-Time

We’re looking for a Full-Time High School Female Security Officer to join our team at a high school in the Berks County area . This position follows the academic school calendar and provides security and a welcoming presence throughout the school day.

This position requires a female Security Officer in accordance with the client's contractual staffing requirements to complement the existing security team.

What You'll Do

As a High School Security Officer, you'll help maintain a safe and positive environment for students, staff, families, and visitors.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing a visible and professional security presence throughout the school day.
• Conducting interior and exterior patrols based on the school's daily schedule and activities.
• Monitoring entrances, hallways, common areas, and designated exterior areas.
• Assisting with maintaining a safe environment during arrival, dismissal, lunch, and other school activities.
• Interacting professionally and respectfully with students, staff, families, and visitors.
• Observing and reporting unusual or potentially unsafe activity.
• Responding appropriately to security and safety concerns.
• Supporting school staff during challenging situations when needed.
• Completing required activity logs and incident reports.
• Following all site-specific post orders, procedures, and client requirements.
• Providing additional coverage for school events, athletic events, and other activities as requested.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with high school students and takes pride in helping create a safe, professional, and welcoming school environment.

We're looking for someone who is:

• 21 years of age or older , as required by the client contract.
• Female , as required by the client's contractual staffing requirements.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Approachable, respectful, and comfortable interacting with students, families, staff, and visitors.
• Alert and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Able to conduct both interior and exterior patrols.
• Willing to work outside when required, including during inclement weather.
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Comfortable responding appropriately to challenging situations.
• Able to follow established procedures while using good judgment when circumstances change.

Security, education, customer service, military, law enforcement, or other public-facing experience is a plus, but reliability, professionalism, communication, and the right attitude matter just as much.

Required Background Checks & Training

Because this position is located in a school environment, the selected candidate must be willing to:

• Complete all required background checks and clearances .
• Complete all training mandated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for School Security Officers .
• Maintain all required certifications, clearances, and training throughout employment.

• Full-time Monday–Friday schedule
• 7:15 AM–3:45 PM daytime hours

• Client preference to utilize the daytime security team for additional event coverage whenever possible
• Paid PTO accrual of up to 40 hours , beginning after successful completion of the 60-day probationary period
