Agile Scrum Master

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master - Hybrid for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, Chandler, AZ or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

As a servant leader, the Scrum Master will guide and coach one or more teams on Agile practices within a Scaled Agile (SAFe) environment. This role is responsible for facilitating all Agile ceremonies, managing dependencies and risks, and ensuring the team maintains a healthy product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner. The role requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Demos/Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives)
• In a Scaled Agile model, facilitate scaled planning for the team and represent the team in Scrum of Scrums/ART Syncs
• Help the team define norms/agreements, like a Definition of Ready and Definition of Done, and enforce the agreements
• Ensure the team has a healthy product and Sprint backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the team
• Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the Agile team to support value delivery and Sprint commitments
• Provide visibility into the Agile team's delivery plans and progress against the plan to stakeholders
• Measure team delivery, maturity, and performance and review the metrics with the team to identify improvement opportunities

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on practical Scrum Master experience
• Experience with Scrum and Kanban teams
• Experience in a Scaled Agile Environment, including Program Increment (PI) Planning
• Strong JIRA and Confluence experience
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated ability to drive results

Desired skills:

• Technical development experience (Software or Infrastructure)
• Experience in a large financial institution or regulated environment
• Scrum Master Certification or SAFe Agile certifications
• Experience in a public cloud environment such as Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Demonstrated team-level agile coaching skills

Pay range: $63.94 - $71.94 per hour
