The ER Tech is expected to function within the scope of approved policies, procedures, and applicable regulations of the department and organization. Responsibilities include collecting selected patient information, providing directed emergency patient care under the direction of the RN/LPN, stocking supplies, cleaning patient rooms, transporting patients, and assisting with maintaining the flow of patients through the Emergency Department. Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Currently enrolled in a nursing or EMT program preferred. Must be able to cope with frequent exposure to unpleasant sights and odors and difficult patient/family behaviors. Must be able to work and interact professionally and non-defensively with peers, physicians, administration, patients, and visitors. Physical Requirements: Must demonstrate good physical and mental health. Must be able to respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations. #J-18808-Ljbffr King
