The Senior Program Manager of Catalog Strategy & Execution is a strategic individual contributor role within the Global Manufacturing & Distribution Services organization. This position owns the critical link between enterprise procurement strategy and measurable buying behavior across Amazon. The role holder will consolidate what were previously separate project management and catalog strategy functions into a single, high-impact position that drives catalog integrity, program execution, spend compliance, and cross-functional alignment. This role also serves as the primary category liaison to the Category Strategy & Insights (CSI) team. Key job responsibilities This role directly supports savings targets and contributes to the broader organizational goal of net cost reductions. The position influences procurement decisions, catalog architecture, and purchasing governance across Amazon's global operations. The role holder will be instrumental in transitioning the organization from a fragmented, reactive catalog administration model to a centralized, strategic catalog function. Essential Job Functions Catalog Strategy & Governance: Define, own, and execute the end-to-end catalog strategy for Global Manufacturing & Distribution Services. Align catalog governance standards including taxonomy, item classification, supplier mapping, and content quality requirements with the Global Procurement Central Services team. Program Execution & Delivery: Lead cross-functional programs that translate sourcing decisions, supplier negotiations, and manufacturing investments into measurable catalog outcomes. Manage program timelines, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans. Spend Compliance & Adoption: Design and implement frameworks that drive enterprise-wide spend compliance with preferred supplier programs and negotiated contracts.
