Performing DOT daily operation and safety inspections. Communicating with the office and customers to determine commodities to load. Driving scrap metal independently. Assisting customers and resolving issues. Ensuring a safe working environment with other employees. Performing daily maintenance such as refueling, lubrication, and cleaning. Maintaining a clean and organized work area. Adhering to attendance and punctuality standards. Organizing materials efficiently. Proper disposal of waste materials. Ensuring cleanup and housekeeping for safety and hygiene. Qualifications: Employees prior to April 2014 are presumed qualified. Passing a medical physical and drug test. Background check clearance. High school diploma or GED preferred. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus. Effective communication, understanding directions, and basic math skills required. Experience with Wheel Loader is a plus. Job Expectations: Compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations. Physical Requirements: Work in scrap metal recycling environment. Operate trucks, hydraulic lifts, and tools. Physical demand is light to moderate. Visual, auditory, and tactile sensory engagement required. Repetitive hand movements and gripping.
