Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) | Jefferson City, Missouri

An Interim Pharmacist in Charge is needed to oversee pharmacy operations at an inpatient behavioral health facility in St. Charles, MO. This contract role offers an opportunity to manage critical pharmacy functions during a transitional period, approximately four weeks until a permanent hire is made. The position requires availability Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid meal break.


Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily pharmacy operations ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Supervise medication repackaging processes utilizing Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems.
• Operate and maintain automated drug dispensing machines, including loading medications and running restock reports.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care within the behavioral health setting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely medication availability.

Qualifications:

• Current Missouri pharmacist license.
• Experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred.
• Proficiency in repackaging methods and automated medication management.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with inpatient behavioral health pharmacy operations is a plus.

Location: St. Charles, Missouri
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30 minutes unpaid break)
Duration: Approximately 4 weeks, contract until permanent pharmacist is hired.
