Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Charlotte, North Carolina.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: MRI Technologist\n Discipline: Allied Health Professional\n Start Date: 10/19/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 19, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of MRI experience and current ARRT-MR certification.Details\n \n MRI unit at a stroke center with 1 bed and an average of 25-30 patients per 24 hours\n Patient population ranges from age 5 to geriatric, with pediatric imaging done during the day and rare NICU infant cases with suspected brain bleed\n Common procedures include stroke imaging, IAC, pituitary, feet, abdomen, brain, total spine, defecography, urograms, and enterography studies\n Device implants performed Wednesdays during the day, with Medtronic device support available 24/7\n 10-hour night shifts, Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM\n Works as solo MRI Tech overnight with support from an MRI Assistant\n No floating required\n On-call rotation of 1 weekend per month (Friday night through Monday morning) with a 1-hour response time\n Holiday coverage required every other holiday\n EPIC EMR preferred\n Uses ViewPACS, Medirad MRI IV pump, GE Cigna Artist 1.5, and MR 400 tele monitor\n Requirements\n \n Active MRI license required if applicable\n BLS and ARRT-MR certification required; ARMRIT not accepted\n Minimum 1 year of MRI experience, acute or outpatient setting accepted\n Skilled in MRI safety protocols, patient positioning, suction setup, and O2 operation\n Experience handling critical or vented patients alongside ICU RN and RT support\n Ability to place patients on MR tele monitoring and administer contrast\n Strong critical thinking skills and comfort caring for confused or pediatric patients\n Punctuality and reliability required\n Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration\n At least one professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN\n Additional Information\n \n First-time travelers will be considered for this role\n Support team includes a Lead MRI Tech, MRI Assistant, Manager, Scheduler, offsite Radiologist, RT, Hospitalist, and Rapid Response/Code team\n Transporter support available until 11:00 PM\n Orientation includes NEO plus 1 week of day shift and 1 week of night shift unit orientation for night positions\n Set schedule cycle with up to 7 days of RTO approval\n Black scrub color required\n Free parking available\n Radius rule requires candidates to live at least 50 miles from the facility\n Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-760732.
