Job Description

This role involves assisting in the assembly of metal stoves in a fast-paced production environment. You will work on a manufacturing line with other team members, following blueprints to assemble various types of stoves while maintaining strong communication and collaboration. Candidates should have prior experience in a production or manufacturing setting and be comfortable working with machinery and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly of metal stoves on a production line, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Read and interpret blueprints to correctly assemble various types of stoves and components.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers on the line, maintaining clear and effective communication to ensure smooth operations.
• Perform general production and manufacturing tasks, including handling materials, parts, and tools as required.
• Operate or assist with machinery and equipment used in the production process, as appropriate to experience and training.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as steel toe boots and protective eyewear.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficiency and safety on the production line.
• Adapt to varying production demands, including the possibility of extended hours or additional shifts when business needs increase.
• Participate in training and actively learn new tasks and processes to support overall production goals.

• Prior experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints for assembly work.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively on a line with co-workers.
• Experience with assembly, manufacturing, or production tasks.
• Comfort working with or around machinery and production equipment.
• Reliability and willingness to follow established processes and safety procedures.

• Any type of machine operating experience is highly valued.
• Previous experience in high-volume or line-based production environments is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on specific stove assembly processes.
• Ability to work extended hours, including potential 10-hour days, when production demands increase.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment that can be hot in the summer.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including first shift or weekend shift, as needed.

Work Environment

This is a manufacturing facility focused on the assembly of metal stoves, with work performed on a production line. The environment is not climate controlled, so temperatures can be hot during the summer months. Steel toe boots are required, and protective eyewear will be provided if you do not have your own. You are allowed to wear shorts in the summer if you choose, consistent with safety requirements. The standard first shift runs Monday through Thursday, four 10-hour days starting at 6:00 a.m., with the possibility of voluntary overtime on Fridays. A weekend shift is also available, running from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with hours capped at 19 per weekend. The team is willing to train candidates who are open to learning and working in a busy production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Halifax, PA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
