About This Role
Our team seeks an experienced and compassionate teacher to educate preschool children in a nurturing environment, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will establish a structured learning space, adapt teaching methods to meet students' needs, and provide a safe and engaging atmosphere for children to explore and learn.
What You'll Do- Establish a positive and engaging classroom environment, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool children.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality instruction and provide support to students with special needs.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to share student progress and involve them in their child's education.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure a cohesive and supportive classroom environment.
Educational Requirements
- CDA Credential: Often required for entry-level positions, involving 120 hours of training and 480 hours of experience.
- Associate Degree (AA): A degree in ECE or child development is commonly required, or a Bachelor’s Degree .
- Coursework: Essential studies include child development, curriculum planning, and child health/safety.
At least 2 years of experience.
