Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in a healthcare setting, working on the evening shift. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. The position requires a focus on professional knowledge and clinical skills to deliver quality patient care. Job Details Position Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the traveler contributes professional/clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients. Required Qualifications: Valid active Illinois license at the time of submission, Illinois and Iowa state licenses (or proof of application if inactive), at least 24 months of current Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience, AHA or ARC/AMERICAN RED CROSS Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in pediatric respiratory care, strong clinical skills in neonatal and pediatric populations. Additional Information: The assignment requires candidates to have at least 2 years of recent experience; first-time travelers will be accepted. Travel candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility, with no local candidates permissible. The orientation schedule is weekly, every Monday, and candidates must demonstrate documentation for active Illinois license and proof of Iowa license application if inactive.
