RN - Med Surg

Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in a Medical-Surgical unit. The position is for day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: 3 West
• Number of Beds: 34
• Number of Staff: 60
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Type of Equipment: Bladder scanner, Welch Allyn Vital Signs monitor, vein finder
• EMR: Epic
• Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts per schedule (every other week)

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following:

• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
  • Basic Arrhythmia Recognition
• Preferred or Nice to Have:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • Charge nurse experience

Skills and Personality Fit

• Must be flexible and organized
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Typical Procedures Performed

• Foley catheter insertion
• Central line dressing changes

Floating Area

The RN may be required to float to other Med-Surgical units within the facility.
