Donor Relations Specialist

Position Summary Responsible for fostering long‑term relationships with donors to drive retention, satisfaction, and high‑quality donations for GWH. Manages stewardship initiatives, including personalized acknowledgment letters, donor recognition events, and impact reporting. Oversees donor database management, analyzes giving patterns, reports donation metrics, and identifies new donation acquisition opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Research, identify, cultivate, and steward new donor relationships as part of an overall donor acquisition strategy. Collaborate with the Director of Donation Acquisition, Senior Retail Leadership, and the Transportation Department to plan and coordinate Donation Acquisition events and activities. Maintain frequent communication with the Donation Acquisition team on planned activities and metric‑driven results. Track critical data on donation quantity, quality, and value, and assist with data analysis. Represent GWH as a Donor Ambassador at community engagements and donor events. Act as GWH’s Donation Ambassador, champion GWH’s mission, and participate in community activities to advance GWH’s mission throughout local communities. Support the Donation Acquisition Department with administrative duties. Perform additional duties as directed by management to support evolving organizational needs. Minimum Qualifications Preferred: Bachelor’s degree; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Required: At least three (3) years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, events, or an administrative setting. Required: Demonstrated success in a development function with relationship management across multiple donor sources. Required: Strategic planning expertise and experience managing complex operating systems. Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Required: Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort with public speaking. Required: Strong relationship‑building skills. Required: Willingness to travel. Required: Valid Texas driver’s license and insurance. Required: Flexible work hours, including nights and weekends. Required: Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Donor Strategy Development: Complete and approve a comprehensive donor cultivation and stewardship strategy plan within the first sixty (60) days. Partner and Donation Tracking: Implement and configure the CRM system within the first ninety (90) days. Donor Research: Identify, contact, and cultivate ten (10) new donor relationships in the first year. Donation Acquisition Events and Activities: Plan and coordinate three (3) GWH donation acquisition events in the first year. Donation Acquisition Campaigns: Plan and execute three (3) donation acquisition campaigns in the first year. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach.
