Mass Properties Engineer | Aircraft | Dayton Ohio
\n \nIf you know mass properties, aircraft weighing, and aerospace analysis , this is worth a look.
\nWe're hiring Mass Properties Engineers, Level II & III to support an aircraft retrofit program in Dayton Ohio .
\n \nThis is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with aircraft inventory, 3D models, suppliers, engineering teams, and the production floor.
\n \nWhat you'll be doing:
\n- \n
- Calculate and analyze aircraft mass properties \n
- Build and validate mass properties models \n
- Inventory and weigh aircraft \n
- Perform 3D analysis and review supplier data \n
- Support aircraft retrofit activities \n
- Work across engineering, suppliers, and the floor \n
- Help drive work from problem → solution \n
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers \n
What we're looking for:
\n \nLevel II
\n- \n
- 2+ years of relevant experience \n
Level III
\n- \n
- 5+ years of relevant experience \n
Strong experience with mass properties is important.
\nExperience with SAWE is highly valued.
\nTools include:
\n- \n
- NX \n
- 3DX \n
- CATIA \n
The best people for this team are self-starters who can take ownership of a problem, figure things out, and keep work moving without needing constant direction.
\n \nYou should also be approachable and comfortable working with people across engineering and the shop floor.
\n \nSecurity clearance:
\nAbility to obtain a clearance. Processing starts immediately.
\nAerospace or defense experience is strongly preferred.
\nA bachelor's degree is preferred, but relevant experience may be considered in place of the degree.
