Sterile Compounding PharmacistThis position focuses on sterile compounding combined with clinical pharmacy services, ensuring regulatory compliance and leadership in a dynamic infusion pharmacy environment.Location: Middleburg, FLSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PMJob Type: Contract to Hire (13+ weeks)Key Responsibilities:Interpret, verify, and process physician medication orders accurately.Perform and oversee sterile compounding adhering to USP 797 and USP 800 standards.Conduct final verification of compounded sterile preparations to ensure safety and efficacy.Review medication profiles for safety concerns including allergies, interactions, dosing, and compatibility.Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high-quality operations.Maintain cleanroom standards, aseptic techniques, and perform environmental monitoring.Participate in quality assurance activities, medication safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain thorough compounding, batch, quality, and regulatory documentation.Assist with inventory management, controlled substances handling, and general pharmacy operations.Support development and implementation of pharmacy policies, procedures, and staff training.Engage in staff meetings and professional conferences.Qualifications:Active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing.Minimum of 1 year experience with hazardous and non-hazardous sterile compounding regulated by USP 797, USP 800, DEA, OSHA, and Board of Pharmacy requirements.Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.If you have the expertise in sterile compounding and a commitment to safety and quality in pharmacy practice, this contract-to-hire opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding environment.
