Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing medical-surgical treatments, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during hospital stays. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' health status and plan appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and health management.
- Document all patient interactions and clinical procedures accurately in the EMR system.
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate issues to appropriate healthcare staff.
- Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of med-surg experience.
- Possess BLS certification; CPR certification preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in using standard hospital equipment and EMR systems (Meditech preferred).
- Have strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.
- Oncology experience is a plus; GI and GYN Oncology procedures knowledge is beneficial.
