Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing medical-surgical treatments, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during hospital stays. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and plan appropriate nursing interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and health management.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical procedures accurately in the EMR system.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate issues to appropriate healthcare staff.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with at least 1 year of med-surg experience.
• Possess BLS certification; CPR certification preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using standard hospital equipment and EMR systems (Meditech preferred).
• Have strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude.
• Oncology experience is a plus; GI and GYN Oncology procedures knowledge is beneficial.
