Night Custodian (3:00pm - 11:30pm)

School Grounds Maintenance PositionThis position is responsible for the physical condition of the school and grounds. Develop and promote good community relations among all stakeholders. This position will also substitute for other custodians at different locations as needed and directed by the Director of Operations and Maintenance or the Supervisor of Operations and Maintenance.Essential duties and responsibilities include performing cleaning and maintenance related to the upkeep and operation of the site, setting up and disassembling for groups, special events or activities, assisting supervisor with inventory of supplies and equipment, snow removal from walkways and other areas, establishing student, staff and parental rapport that allows for a proactive response to potential problems, actively participating in PLCs and other required training, applying and implementing knowledge, skills and new understandings to support site, substituting for other custodians at different locations as needed, and performing other related duties as assigned or requested.Education/training/experience required includes a high school graduate or equivalent, bilingual (preferred), one (1) year job related experience (preferred), working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical units (preferred), and English fluency will be determined through the interview process.Licenses or certifications required include a valid Colorado driver's license, valid CPR and First Aid Certification.General expectations include demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in response to change, possessing computer and technology skills, effectively working with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, collaborating well with supervisors and co-workers, capable of understanding and following both complex oral and written instructions, able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision, communicating effectively with the school district community, skilled in analysis, instruction, negotiation, coordination, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal interactions, proficient in comparing, computing, synthesizing, and evaluating information, meeting attendance standards and working the necessary hours to fulfill essential responsibilities, maintaining confidentiality, upholding a generally positive attitude, complying with all district policies and procedures, and adhering to federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.Essential physical requirements include frequent lifting 5 to 20 pounds, occasional lifting 20 to 50 pounds, frequent bending, squatting, standing, reaching, walking, and stooping, occasional sitting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, and frequent exposure to dirt, dust, odors, and fumes, occasional exposure to hazardous materials, and occasional exposure to adverse climate and weather conditions.Reports to Operations & Facilities Supervisor or designee. Location: Englewood High School. Salary: Starting hourly rate from $18.14 to $20.52 per hour, based upon education and related experience.
