Medical Surgical Oncology - Travel Registered Nurse

Overview Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment in Medical Surgical Oncology. Shift Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience 12 months of role experience required, with some in the last 12 months. Experience with Epic required. Requirements Candidates must have an Ohio license or compact license (required for submission). This role will require floating to multiple units. Local and travel allowed. Candidates living within 60 miles from the facility will be processed as local. Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. 6 months between any contract type at program: Aya Program – Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Reference: at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Contract 13–16 week contract. 14 days maximum time off. Start assignment restriction: 7 days. Required Skills/Experience Medsurg experience. IV Therapy/Infusions, administration of blood & blood products, central line/implanted line care, chemotherapy, telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, rapid response team use, feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/Phlebotomy, blood product administration, PICC line management, starting IVs, telemetry monitoring. Preferred Skills Accessing/managing ports, care and management of ports, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, inpatient oncology, isolation precautions, care of patient with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphoma/non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma. Required Credentials Graduated from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Oncology Certified Nurse, Basic Life Support.
