Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, director level social media leader to own and evolve a comprehensive social strategy across paid media, organic content, creator partnerships, community engagement, and location-based digital marketing.This individual will be responsible for connecting social investment and content strategy to measurable business results. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable setting high-level strategy, evaluating performance data, managing agency partners, and working closely with creative and marketing teams.What You’ll DoOwn the overall strategy for paid and organic social across major and emerging platforms.Manage significant paid social investment, with a focus on improving audience targeting, creative effectiveness, customer acquisition, and overall performance.Lead social programs across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, and other relevant channels.Build and grow creator and influencer partnerships and identify opportunities to use creator content across broader campaigns.Guide organic content strategy, publishing, audience engagement, and community management.Develop a strong testing approach across creative, audiences, formats, messaging, and platforms.Use performance data, customer behavior, platform insights, and social listening to identify opportunities and adjust strategy.Oversee agency and external partner relationships, ensuring clear goals, strong execution, and accountability.Partner closely with creative, brand, digital, and merchandising teams to develop social campaigns and content.Support location-specific marketing efforts through locally relevant social content and creator partnerships.Improve local digital visibility through search strategy, reputation management, and accurate business listings.Maintain and optimize location information across platforms such as Google Business Profile, Apple Maps, Facebook, and third-party listing tools.What We’re Looking For10+ years of social media or digital marketing experience, with significant ownership of both paid and organic social.Experience leading large-scale paid social campaigns and managing substantial media budgets.3+ years of experience managing employees, agencies, or external partners.Strong understanding of social platforms, audience strategy, content development, community engagement, and performance optimization.Hands-on experience with creator, influencer, or social partnership programs.Ability to turn analytics, customer insights, and social listening into clear marketing decisions.Experience with local search, reputation management, business listings, and location-based digital marketing.Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and paid media optimization platforms.Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, budget management, and project management skills.Up-to-date understanding of social platform changes, new formats, audience behavior, and digital marketing trends.Preferred BackgroundBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.Background in retail, e-commerce, consumer brands, hospitality, or another high-volume, performance-focused environment.Relevant certifications in areas such as Meta advertising or Google Analytics are a plus.Why Consider This Opportunity?This is a high-visibility leadership role with ownership across multiple areas of social media rather than just paid advertising or organic content.
