Position Summary
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or PA provides comprehensive primary and family practice medical care services in an ambulatory care setting, delivering acute, chronic, and preventive care to patients of all ages. Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Medical Director or other staff physicians, this role emphasizes patient-centered care, evidence-based clinical decision-making, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality outcomes.
The FNP/PA works closely with licensed, paraprofessional, administrative, and support staff to promote efficient clinic operations. This position may include oversight of healthcare staff, coordination of walk-in services, physical exams, workers’ compensation cases, and pain management programs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct physical exams, obtain patient history, and provide diagnosis and treatment for a range of acute and chronic conditions.
Formulate and implement patient-centered care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
and interpret diagnostic studies; prescribe medications within the scope of practice.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
Document clinical findings accurately and completely within 72 hours in the electronic health record (EHR).Ensure adherence to infection control, quality assurance, and compliance standards.
Supervise and train assigned staff, ensuring performance and licensure compliance.
Respond effectively to urgent or emergency medical situations.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging clinical trends, technologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient operations and continuity of care across all clinic sites.
