Located in Maryville, IL Job Description Immediate hiring for a Flight Paramedic in Maryville, IL. Starting salary of $20.92 plus DOE with an additional $5 geometric modification. The role involves transporting patients safely to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. The successful candidate will work within a high‑standard, safety‑focused medical team dedicated to providing professional, efficient patient care. Responsibilities Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame. Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count. Provide pre‑hospital and intra‑hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility while maintaining thorough documentation. Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences. Maintain documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures in the Employee Education Manual. Be knowledgeable about the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs. Build positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public. Function as a medical flight member. Attend pre‑mission briefings and mission debriefings, completing necessary documentation. Assist in pre‑mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance when needed, including radio, navigational, and visual observation activities. Comply with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff. Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director. Minimum Required Qualifications Minimum of three years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting. Flight Experience Preferred Education Current EMT‑P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and trauma certification required prior to flight status. Flight Paramedic‑Certified (FP‑C) required within 24 months from the date of hire. Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred. NREMT‑P certification may be required in the assigned area.
