Shift Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (Enjoy work-life balance with a predictable weekday schedule) About Us Located in northern New Jersey, approximately 25 miles west of New York City. We are looking for veterinary technicians who would like to join our family and help us continue to provide veterinary care to the community we have faithfully served since 1994. We are committed to providing advanced veterinary care while fostering a collaborative, supportive environment for our team members. What You’ll Do As a Surgical & Anesthesia Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in patient safety and perioperative care. Responsibilities include: Preparing patients for surgical procedures Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia patients Monitoring anesthetic depth, vital signs, and patient stability throughout procedures Maintaining accurate anesthesia and treatment records Calculating drug dosages and anesthesia protocols Placing IV catheters and administering fluid therapy Assisting surgeons during procedures and maintaining sterile technique Preparing and handling surgical instruments and equipment Obtaining and processing laboratory samples for pre-operative testing Assessing and managing patient pain levels Providing attentive nursing care before and after surgery Educating clients on post-operative care and discharge instructions Collaborating closely with veterinarians and support staff to deliver excellent patient care Maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked surgical suite About You We’re looking for compassionate, detail-oriented technicians who thrive in a team-focused environment.
