ResponsibilitiesNoblis is seeking a cleared Data Scientist to support our customer in Bethesda, MD. SETA The Data Scientist delivers subject matter expertise across a range of functional areas including data science, data analytics, statistical analysis, data discovery, and data exploitation within multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of data science toolkits and standard languages, understand data integration and management fundamentals, and effectively visualize and communicate complex data to support mission-driven projects — all within a classified environment leveraging emerging technologies.Job ResponsibilitiesApply in-depth knowledge of data science toolkits, data analytics, and statistical analysis to support data discovery, use, and exploitation within multi-cloud environmentsLeverage standard data science languages (SQL, R, Python, Julia) to develop and deliver analytical solutionsUnderstand and apply data integration and data management fundamentals, successfully adopting them for data science projects from development into productionUnderstand customer needs and visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or studyWork with unstructured datasets to extract meaningful insights and actionable intelligenceCommunicate complex data in simple, actionable ways through technical writing and data storytellingProvide subject matter expertise on data policy and governance materialsDraft, edit, and facilitate the coordination of processes for data sharing, analysis, and interoperabilityIdentify and support opportunities to implement technologies that support data services and toolsCollaborate with stakeholders, including organizing and facilitating governance activities related to governance boards and working groupsIdentify opportunities and support initiatives to improve data acumen among the Sponsor workforceSupport the development and implementation of Enterprise Data Architecture and its integration with overall enterprise architecturesSupport the development and implementation of Enterprise Data Standards and metrics to identify and improve data normalization across the organizationRequired QualificationsActive TS/SCI with PolygraphU.S. CitizenshipBachelor's degree in a related field + 8 years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree + 6 years, OR PhD + 4 years, OR Associate's degree + 10 years, OR High School diploma/GED + 12 years of relevant experienceAll experience must be within the last 15 yearsIn-depth knowledge of data science toolkits, data analytics, and statistical analysisIn-depth knowledge of standard data science languages (SQL, R, Python, Julia)Demonstrated experience with data discovery, use, and exploitation within multi-cloud environmentsExperience understanding data integration and data management fundamentals and successfully adopting them for data science projects from development into productionExperience visualizing data effectively for projects and studies based on customer needsExperience working with unstructured datasetsExperience with technical writing — ability to communicate complex data in simple, actionable waysDesired QualificationsExperience with IC or DoD data environmentsExperience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or similar)Familiarity with data governance frameworks and policiesExperience with machine learning and AI model developmentExperience facilitating data governance boards or working groupsExperience developing and implementing enterprise data standards and metricsExperience supporting data sharing and interoperability initiatives across multiple organizationsExperience improving data literacy and acumen across a workforceOverviewNoblis and our wholly owned subsidiaries, Noblis ESI, and Noblis MSD tackle the nation's toughest problems and apply advanced solutions to our clients' most critical missions. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.Posted Salary RangeUSD $120,700.00 - USD $188,725.00 /Yr.
