Senior Software Developer, Platform Engineering

This role is critical to enabling fast, reliable, and scalable software delivery across the organization. You will own and improve the end-to-end developer experience—from pull request workflows and GitHub governance to automated deployments in Kubernetes—while embedding AI‑powered tooling into DevOps workflows to increase velocity, quality, and reliability. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent problem‑solving ability, and a proactive mindset. We’re looking for someone who doesn’t wait for instructions when issues arise—rather, identifies root causes, proposes solutions, and drives improvements forward. You should be a team player who cares deeply about team success, customer impact, and system stability. About the Role Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions. Manage GitOps-based deployments using Argo CD into Kubernetes environments. Improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment safety across environments. Embed AI‑powered tooling into DevOps workflows (CI/CD optimization, PR summarization, automated review assistance, policy validation, incident insights). Lead incident response and root cause analysis for CI/CD and deployment‑related outages. Define and enforce GitHub governance best practices (branch protection, reusable workflows, permissions, policy automation). Identify bottlenecks in developer workflows and proactively drive improvements. Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, SRE, and product teams to ensure platform solutions meet real customer needs. Mentor engineers and promote best practices around DevOps, GitOps, and cloud‑native systems. About You At least 5 years of professional software development experience. Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js, etc.). BA/BS in computer science, or equivalent work experience. Experience designing highly available, reliable, and scalable systems. Strong experience building CI/CD systems using GitHub Actions or equivalent technologies. Hands‑on experience with Argo CD and GitOps-based deployment models.Deep understanding of Kubernetes and cloud‑native architecture. Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm, etc.). Experience improving developer workflows and internal platform tooling. You have experience using AI code generation tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar. Exposure to AI/CD tooling integration in engineering workflows is a strong plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills—able to clearly articulate technical trade‑offs and align stakeholders. Strong problem‑solving ability with a bias toward action. Proactive and self‑driven—identifies issues and drives solutions without waiting for direction. Customer‑focused—cares deeply about the product experience and developer productivity. On-Call Expectations This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly. Compensation: The compensation for this position is $166,900.00 - $203,900.00.
