Education / Certification: High School Diploma / GED Valid Master Plumber license in Texas Valid Texas driver’s license with a safe driving record Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques Knowledge of plumbing codes Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and references Mathematical and diagnostic skills Proficiency with hand and power tools Responsibilities: Plan and deliver instruction on plumbing trades, coordinating with construction teachers Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test plumbing systems Perform repairs and troubleshoot plumbing malfunctions Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems Complete work orders, estimate materials, and maintain records Ensure safety and proper maintenance of tools and equipment Respond to emergencies and perform preventive maintenance Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment and foster student growth Establish professional communication with colleagues, students, and parents Participate in professional development and adhere to policies Working Conditions: Physical activity includes walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, exposure to extreme temperatures, and districtwide travel. Equipment used includes hand and power tools, welding, and heavy machinery.
