We welcome candidates who can contribute to the excellence of our academic community.Public Health Program AssociateThe Department of Epidemiology at Emory's Rollins School of Public Health seeks a Public Health Program Associate to provide project management support a portfolio aimed at improving health outcomes related to HIV, substance abuse, and women's health. The role involves project management on several funded projects and will require establishing and then tracking project progress against timelines, liaising between project team members, funders, and stakeholders, coordinating and documenting project calls and communications, tracking budgetary spenddown, and leading subcontract, regulatory, milestone, reporting, and personnel processes.Key Responsibilities:Under limited supervision, uses a basic knowledge of public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges.Addresses public health issues by providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research.Works with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions.May provide technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues.May work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards. Assists with data collection and data analysis.Contributes to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings.May assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives.May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives.Performs related responsibilities as required.Additional Job Details:Plan ahead, track, and anticipate with respect to post award budget forecasting, effort monitoring, reporting (RPPR), IRB renewal, DUA renewal, and data destruction requirements across all projectsEnsure completion of all subcontract setup, amendment, invoicing, and completion processesContribute to new activities such as pre-award grant submission, just in time processes including new IRB applications, and other activities as needs ariseContribute to and support research activities through interfacing with data collection and data team needs, reporting review, supporting the development of data collection tools, developing or giving presentations, or other team needsSupport meetings and communication for all projects (agendas, minutes, follow-ups), with needs varying across projects depending on current personnel rolesSupport team member travel, expense reporting, and other administrative needsSupport and mentor other team members such as graduate research assistantsMinimum Qualifications:A master's degree in Public Health, a master of science degree in Public Health or Health Education, OR a master's degree in Development Practice OR a master's degree in another field and one year of public health experience.Note: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA.
