Essential Responsibilities:

- Efficiently manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term goals.- Stay current with product and practice changes through ongoing education to promote cost-effective care.- Apply specialized knowledge and technical skills to deliver high-quality patient care and make appropriate patient assignments based on acuity and expertise.- Foster excellent relationships with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, demonstrating respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and professionalism.- Communicate effectively to manage expectations and provide outstanding customer experiences across departments.- Maintain a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise, supporting healthcare students, and adhering to privacy and safety standards.- Prioritize patient and workplace safety by reporting incidents, following Just Culture principles, HIPAA, and national safety guidelines.- Pursue professional growth through leadership opportunities, certifications, advanced degrees, and participation in shared governance.- Inspire teamwork, mentor colleagues, and contribute to a positive, cooperative work atmosphere.

Education and Experience:

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent acute care experience if from a non-accredited school.- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in advanced degree programs is supported.- Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty credentials.

Licensure:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.This position offers part-time night shifts within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest, providing 48 hours biweekly. The role is ideal for nurses passionate about pediatric acute care and professional development.
