Patient Services Associate II - Neurosurgery - Jefferson Abington - Full-Time Days

Job Summary Patient Services Associate II (PSA II) enhances the patient/customer experience by courteously and professionally processing arrival and departure activities associated with visits to the practice/department. The role obtains pre‑certifications and/or pre‑authorizations for procedures, verifies insurance, referrals, and patient demographic information. The PSA II supports delivery of the Jefferson Experience by ensuring the prompt and courteous treatment of all patients and visitors, maintaining an efficient flow to examination rooms. Responsibilities Interact with co‑workers, visitors, and other staff in a manner consistent with Jefferson values. Process check‑in and/or check‑out, point‑of‑service activities, and schedule patient appointments via EPIC. Obtain pre‑certifications and/or pre‑authorizations for procedures. Maintain efficient flow of the practice and appropriately escalate patient and/or provider concerns. Greet and interact with patients and visitors professionally, on the phone or in person. Adhere to HIPAA privacy and security requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Perform other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to communicate courteously with patients and/or visitors. Willingness to provide and support a positive Jefferson Experience for all patients and/or visitors. Ability to process and interpret data.
