Junior Mechanical Engineer

Hiring: Jr. Mechanical Engineer
Location: Wayne, NJ On-site
We are looking for a Jr. Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of medical equipment and mechanical components. The ideal candidate will have experience with SolidWorks/CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, GD&T, DFM/DFA, testing, and medical device development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical designs, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks
Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and engineering calculations
Develop prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and test methods
Perform design verification, testing, and test data analysis
Troubleshoot design, manufacturing, and processing issues
Support fabrication, inspection, documentation, and project activities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and train technicians/operators
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience in Mechanical engineering
SolidWorks/3D CAD and medical device/equipment design experience
Knowledge of GD&T, DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, and mechanical testing
Experience with electromechanical/electro-pneumatic systems preferred
Knowledge of injection moulding, sheet metal, machining, casting, or stamping
Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 7198, GMP, and document control
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills
