What you will do:

The Contract NetSuite Developer II is a 6-month contract role supporting the configuration, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of solutions within Electra’s NetSuite environment and connected business systems. Working under the direction of the Operations Technology and Business Systems Manager and in partnership with business and IT stakeholders, this role contributes to NetSuite enhancements, integrations, and support activities that enable Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting processes.

This position focuses on implementing approved solutions, maintaining existing functionality, troubleshooting application issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will support Electra’s transition from research & development operations to production-scale execution by applying approved solutions using native NetSuite configuration, SuiteFlow, SuiteScript, SuiteCloud tools, integrations, and business process change.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the delivery of NetSuite enhancements through development, testing, deployment, documentation, validation, and ongoing production support.
• Work with business stakeholders, the Operations Technology and Business Systems Manager, IT, and external technical resources to understand requirements and assist in implementing approved solutions
• Develop, configure, test, and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.1, SuiteFlow, custom records, forms, fields, saved searches, and related platform capabilities, while identifying opportunities to leverage standard NetSuite functionality when appropriate
• Partner with IT and external partners to complete assigned NetSuite-side integration support activities, including data mappings, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation
• Investigate and resolve routine to moderately complex application, workflow, script, data, and integration issues; document findings and escalate issues when additional expertise or decisions are required
• Prepare and execute unit and system test cases, assist with user acceptance testing, and support defect tracking and deployment readiness activities.
• Support security, access, data quality, and governance activities in partnership with business and IT teams
• Collaborate with NetSuite support resources, consultants, and software vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements
• Create and maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with users and team members as needed
• Read, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

What we need you to bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, supply chain, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 2+ years of experience supporting, administering, implementing, or developing solutions within NetSuite
• 1+ years of experience using SuiteScript 2.x/2.1, SuiteFlow, saved searches, reporting, or other NetSuite platform capabilities
• Experience supporting integrations, data imports, testing, troubleshooting, or process improvement initiatives
• Working knowledge of ERP processes such as purchasing, receiving, inventory, item and vendor data, accounts payable, financial posting, or reporting
• Exposure to NetSuite manufacturing and inventory capabilities, such as assemblies, bills of materials, work orders, WIP, costing, routings, bins, Manufacturing Mobile, and WMS
• Ability to analyze routine to moderately complex issues, apply established procedures, and identify when escalation is appropriate
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on day-to-day assignments while receiving guidance on new or complex initiatives
• Ability to organize assignments, document work, and communicate progress or risks to the appropriate team members
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and external partners

What we want you to bring to the team:

• NetSuite SuiteFoundation, Administrator, Application Developer, or Web Services certification preferred but not required
• Experience supporting NetSuite in a manufacturing, warehouse, supply chain, industrial, cleantech, or operations-focused environment
• Exposure to integrations involving systems such as MES, Power BI, Snowflake, CMMS, CLM, P2P, PunchOut, or AP automation platforms
• Experience supporting NetSuite OneWorld, or a NetSuite environment with multiple subsidiaries and locations
• Experience supporting issue remediation, application performance improvements, technical-debt reduction, or development backlog activities in collaboration with internal or external technical resources
• Familiarity with source control, SuiteCloud development tools, or integration platforms
• General understanding of accounting and internal-control considerations related to purchasing, receiving, inventory, accounts payable, and role-based access

Compensation:

The anticipated hourly pay range for this position is $48.00-$57.50 per hour. Compensation will vary based on experience and qualifications, with offers determined based on skills, experience, and overall alignment with the role. This is a temporary contractor position with an initial six-month term and is expected to be scheduled for up to 40 hours per week. This position is not eligible for Electra employee benefits.
