Audit Manager

We are a top CPA firm seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned public accounting professional with strong governmental audit experience who is looking to take on a leadership role with a respected CPA advisory firm.What You'll Do-Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion-Oversee governmental and municipal audit engagements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations-Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors-Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and audit reports for accuracy and compliance-Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build strong, long-term relationships-Identify accounting and financial reporting issues and provide recommendations to clients-Assist clients with complex accounting, auditing, and compliance matters-Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and team resources-Ensure audits are performed in accordance with GAAS, GASB, and applicable governmental auditing standards-Stay current on changes to accounting and auditing standards and communicate relevant updates to the team and clientsWhat We're Looking For-Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field-5+ years of public accounting audit experience-Prior governmental audit experience required-CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification strongly preferred-Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards-Experience with governmental entities, municipalities, school districts, or other public-sector organizations-Previous experience supervising and mentoring audit professionals-Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and client-service skills-Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlinesWhy Join Us?-Leadership opportunity with a growing CPA and advisory firm-Diverse and challenging governmental audit engagements-Strong client relationships and meaningful advisory work-Collaborative, team-oriented environment-Opportunity for continued professional growth and advancement-Competitive compensation and benefits
